Three Generations of Potters

Three Generations of Potters

Robert Gordon has a long history in ceramics. Since 1979 the family business has established themselves as a well known Australian brand. The founder, Robert Andy Gordon followed in his mother’s footsteps, helping her in her studio from a small boy and later becoming a potter in his Gembrook home. Starting out selling pottery at local Melbourne markets with his wife, his pots sold as quickly as he could make them.

By 1987 it was time for the company to expand. A factory in Pakenham was bought and Robert Gordon had grown from a tin shed with a dirt floor to a very large purpose built headquarters. Employing 30 staff, including Andy’s four children it is a small family business that takes pride in what they create. To have a look at their studio, watch this short video.

Their ranges are simple, affordable, user-friendly and suitable for everyday use with exceptional quality and style.
